There are several ways to reach Margit Boulevard from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. The best choice depends on whether you are travelling alone or in a group, how much luggage you have and how late your flight arrives.
1. 100E Airport Express and metro
The 100E Airport Express provides a direct connection between the airport and central Pest, terminating at Deák Ferenc tér. From Deák Ferenc tér, take metro line M2 towards Széll Kálmán tér and continue by tram 4 or 6 along Margit Boulevard.
The 100E requires a special airport ticket. Fares and discounts can change, so check the BudapestGO app or current BKK information before travelling.
2. Bus 200E, metro M3 and tram 4/6
Bus 200E connects the airport with Kőbánya-Kispest metro station. Continue on metro line M3 towards Nyugati railway station, then change to tram 4 or 6 for a direct ride along Margit Boulevard.
This route requires more changes but can fit more naturally into the standard Budapest ticket and pass system. It may be less convenient with heavy luggage or small children.
3. Taxi or pre-arranged transfer
A taxi or private transfer takes you directly to the apartment address. This is especially practical for late arrivals, heavy luggage, older guests or families with young children. Journey time depends on traffic.
You can mention airport transfer in the Flat Margaret booking inquiry form if you would like to ask the host for more information.
Which option should you choose?
- Light luggage and daytime arrival: 100E + M2 + tram.
- Using a Budapest pass or standard ticket system: 200E + M3 + tram.
- Heavy luggage, family travel or late arrival: taxi or pre-arranged transfer.
How much time should you allow?
By public transport, allow roughly around an hour or longer depending on waiting times and connections. By road, traffic can significantly affect the journey.
Routes, fares and timetables may change. Always check current BKK and airport information before departure.
